The average brake life can range from 25,000 and 65,000 miles, but as you may have noticed, there is a considerable 40,000-mile range between those figures. What’s more, for some drivers, the brake pads on their vehicles last beyond 80,000 miles. It is a smart choice to take a look at the service intervals for your specific make and model. Those figures look at torque calculations as well as OEM specs. However, more than just those factors come into play.

What Affects Brake Pad Life?
